Your Local County Landfill
The Muskegon County Solid Waste Management System (Landfill) offers disposal for municipal solid waste, demolition debris, and other materials. No hazardous waste is accepted. The Landfill has a residential transfer station that is accessible by any vehicle or truck and trailer for residents to dispose of unwanted goods. Residential Customers with working 4 wheel drive vehicles and hydraulic dump trailers (no tilt trailers) are permitted to enter the landfill and dump within the active landfill cell with required personal protective equipment. The landfill can accept waste from:
- Muskegon County
- Ottawa County
- Oceana County
- Newaygo County
- Lake County
All other waste origins are prohibited.
