The primary purpose of the hearing and vision screening program is to identify hearing and vision problems in children and get them into care as soon as possible. Hearing and vision problems can often be corrected in children if caught early.
Public Health - Muskegon County provides a variety of services that help to identify, manage, and prevent lead poisoning in our community's children. Our staff works with healthcare provider offices to assure children are screening periodically and appropriately referred to hazard reduction services.
WIC is a supplemental nutrition program for moderate to low income pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age five.
