Cars

Rate is applicable to an automobile with a separated trunk area from the passenger compartment that is primarily accessible from the exterior of the automobile.  The rate applies to a car only, not a car with a trailer.  Rate is by the load, with payment due upon entry.

Trucks

Rate is applicable to any other vehicle type not designated under the car definition, including any vehicle with a trailer.  Trucks, sport utility vehicles, vans, crossovers etc are all defined under the truck rate.  The default rate is by the load, with payment due upon entry.  Larger loads will be directed to scale twice by the scale attendant, and will be charged the minimum load fee or the cost per ton, whichever is greater, upon exit.

MISCELLANOUS AND SURCHARGE FEES

Mattress/Box Spring/Sofa/Love Seat

Surcharge is applicable for each mattress, box spring, sofa or love seat delivered for disposal.  Sectional couch surcharge is by section.  The surcharge is per item and is in addition to the fee per load.

Commercial Weight Ticket

Fee is applicable for each commercial vehicle weight ticket requested.

After Hours Fee

Fee is applicable in addition to waste disposal and surcharge fees for customers that remain in the landfill after the posted closing time.

AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE SCALE OPERATOR LOADS MAY BE REFUSED WHEN THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT TIME TO UNLOAD AND TICKET OUT PRIOR TO THE POSTED CLOSING TIMES.

Untarped Vehicle Fee

The $20.00 fee is applicable when waste is delivered without a tarp or restraint system in place to prevent blowing litter from the load.   It is also applicable for loads that untarp and drive with excessive speed for the load condition that results in waste dropped on the site road areas.  The rate will not be charged if the driver/resident picks up dropped material onsite.

RATE AND SURCHARGE PROCEEDURE

  1. Surcharge applicable item fees are in addition to the disposal fee due, unless surcharge items are the only items delivered for disposal.  If only surcharge items are delivered, the load fee applies until the surcharge(s) fee exceeds the minimum load fee.  Thereafter the minimum load fee applies with surcharges additional.
  2. Surcharge applicable items delivered for disposal with other waste will be charged the applicable cost for the weight of the load and additional surcharge fee(s).
  3. The fee charged for a load comingled with different rate class materials shall be charged the greater of the fees for all material disposed.
