Our location:

The Muskegon County Public Defenders are housed in two buildings.  The criminal division is located at Building E (155 E Apple Ave), and the family division is located on the 3rd Floor of Building F (165 E Apple Ave).  

The two buildings are connected by an outdoor corridor between them.  The buildings are west of the Probation Office and East of the County Treasurer/Register of Deeds.  We suggest parking in the large lot behind the buildings using the Pine Street access near the Juvenile Transition Center or using the Apple Ave access near Public Health.

If you are trying to reach your attorney, be careful in your selection.  Fredrick D. Johnson, Jr. is the Chief Public Defender, so the court issues blanket appointments of attorney with his name on it for every case.  Mr. Johnson is probably NOT your personal attorney.  If you send your message to him, your attorney may not receive it.
