The Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards is sponsoring a 2010-2012 traveling show of consumer artwork. The two goals of this traveling art show are 1) to help de-stigmatize mental illness, developmental disabilities and substance use by showcasing the talents of people who use CMH services; and 2) to highlight the recovery potential of participation in the creative arts.

Each CMH organization has been asked to submit one piece of two-dimensional art including painting, drawing, photography, prints, or fabric

Consumer artwork will be displayed at Muskegon CMHS lobby at 376 Apple Ave. through March 5, 2010. 120 consumers, staff, and visitors have voted for the artwork that will represent Muskegon County.
