The Community Development/Strategic Planning Committee met on December 11, 2008 and it was recommended and I move:
CD/SP08/12 - 31 To approve the resolution for the PIP-Plus funding and assign the Neighborhood Investment Corporation as the third party administrator.
CD/SP08/12 - 32 To approve the Hunting on County Land Policy and Procedure as prepared by Corporate Counsel.
CD/SP08/12 - 33 To approve Park fees for 2009 to be $24.00/night for camping at Pioneer and Blue Lake Parks, $26.00/night for Meinert Pines, $1,800.00 seasonal rate for Meinert Pines, $300.00/night for Pioneer Park group camping, $700/week for Meinert Park cabin rental June - August and $90.00/ night for Meinert Park cabin in May and September and to make the daily vehicle permit $5.00 at Pioneer, Meinert and Twin Lake Parks.
The Transportation Committee met on December 11, 2008; it was recommended, and I move:
TR08/12-45 To approve MDOT Project Authorization 2007-0264/Z4/R1 with the Muskegon Area Transit System providing $108,680 in additional state match funds for the Transit Center and Parking Structure project, and to authorize the Chairperson to execute the contract.
The Ways and Means Committee met on December 16, 2008, it was recommended, and I move:
WM08/12 - 187 To approve payment of the accounts payable of $3,393,684.26 covering the period of November 27, 2008 through December 9, 2008, as presented by the County Clerk.
WM08/12 - 188 To approve the contract with Williams, Hughes & Cook, PLLC, for legal services for the period of January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009.
WM08/12 - 189 To authorize Circuit Court Administrator to enter into an agreement with Muskegon Public Schools to provide contractual Family Division Liaison services to the school system and amend the FY 09 budget accordingly.
WM08/12 - 190 To authorize an employment agreement with Alan Myrmel in the amount of $45,000 to provide the services of the Family Division Liaison.
WM08/12 - 192 To approve Change Order 02 to the Oak Avenue Renovation Project in the amount of $38,681 and, as a result, to increase the construction contract with VanderVen Construction by $30,689, to a new total of $285,683; to award an additional $1,800 to Lakeshore Office Furniture for the new work areas; and, to increase the asbestos abatement contract with Martin and Associates by $6,192 to a new contract total of $44,362.
WM08/12 - 193 To accept the proposal for excess workers’ compensation insurance with Citizens Insurance Company of America in the premium amount of $80,582 for the period of 01/01/09 to 01/01/10.
WM08/12 - 194 To authorize Human Resources to continue membership in the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority for general liability and property insurance coverage with a 2009 annual contribution of $880,422.
WM08/12 - 195 To approve the purchase of Airport liability insurance from Old Republic Insurance Company for the premium amount of $9250 for the period of 01/01/09 to 01/01/10.
WM08/12 - 196 To authorize the Prosecutor to accept the Project Safe Neighborhoods grant in the amount of $11,916 and to establish a County budget in accordance with the grant request effective January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009.
WM08/12 - 191 To waive the hiring freeze and to authorize DET/FM to refill the Groundskeeper position, BPN#G39001.
